We have found ourselves in a situation where it would be nice to be able to switch a project's scripting language. Ideally this swould be a process where scripts and keyword tests would be automatically re-written to a target language.
This is probably too late but according to the document once you set the scripting language you are unable to change it. Here is the link to the document.
I think asking for translation to another scripting language is a huge overreach, but I would like to be able to change the scripting language.
More than once we have had a new project created and missed changing the default so that the project is built with the wrong language and tests pulled in and the first new one attempted before we notice that the setting is incorrect. At this point we now have to rebuild the whole thing instead of just switching the flag to let our tests run.
I haven't tested this because we are in the middle of a project but if you to go Tools >Options>General>Project, you can change the default language to the ones that are available.
I don't know how effective this is but it's worth a try.
That doesn't actually change it. Once the project is created, you're stuck.
