My test case is sorted by key in the test list. After adding to the cycle, the sorting becomes messy

I don't think this is possible.  But if you have your test cases in a folder, and that folder matches what is in your Cycles, you can sort the test cases in the Test Folders instead.

It's not perfect and I agree that it would be nice to be able to sort by varoius fields in the Cycle as well.
