Cloned Test Case takes the status of the origina

When a Test Case is cloned, the clone takes the Status of the original Test Case.  This does not make a lot of sense to me as we often clone it because we want to use it as a starting point, update it and create a new one. I prefer the clone to take Draft status originally. 

Would you consider this a bug or do people have different use cases?

Can this behavior be changed with Configuration somehow? 

This is on the Cloud version.

    There is no config option to control this behaviour.  My guess is that Smartbear would say this is a feature - you can choose at what point to clone the test case and take the status.  With one extra step you can select all cloned test cases and change their status to draft using the More > Edit Selected Test Case in Bulk option.
