wViewCount Error

There's no need to change Borland mappings.

I did what you advised but I get the below error for wColumnCount & wRowCount:

'No debug information was found for VCL control.'

Is your tested app built with debug information? Could you please confirm this with with your developers?

 

Also, please let us know

  • your TestComplete version
  • Delphi compiler version
  • version of DevExpress controls used in your app

    The only thing I know is TestComplete version, its Version 12.

    I have all the details now which you sked for:

     

    The tested app is built with debug information BUT - they do run a post process called tdspack that strips some of the debug info
    from the exe to reduce its size. However we do have a secondary enviornment which does not have that stripping done on it. So I use both the enviornments to be double sure.

     

    • your TestComplete version - 12
    • Delphi compiler version - Delphi XE3 for compiling
    • version of DevExpress controls used in your app - Dev express library version 12.2.4

      Hi gdave,

       

      We don't support third-party TDS stripping tools, we only support Delphi's tdstrp32 and our own StripTDS. It's also possible that your custom TomGridSite impements some methods differently than the original DevExpress grid and therefore is not compatible. It's hard to say without seeing your application, though.

       

      I suggest opening a support ticket to investigate the issue further with our tech support. Include a link to this thread to give them some additional context.
