Windows fonts different in virtual machines causing Region Checkpoints to fail
I recently upgraded to VMWare 9.0 and TestComplete 9.1, and started running my TC tests in a VM for the first time.
So far I've only tested WindowsXPx64.
The font-smoothing is different when run in a VM. This even applies to the text in window titleBars. My Region Checkpoints are failing.
I don't really want to accept the pixel and color differences, afraid that it will someday hide other problems.
The Windows settings for themes are the same inside and out of the VM, as are the font effects ("Standard" smoothing, not "Clear Type"). I imagine they might match if I completely turn off the smoothing effect, but thought I'd try to find some other solution first.
Any ideas?
