Why Testcomplete run very slowly comparing to QTP and RFT

My coporation want to build automation testing team, and after a long-time discussion and practice, we found that TC is the best automation tool fit for our 4 products, include html page,applet embeled in html page,dephi CS,vb CS. Mainly we consider TC can help me identify most of our component element, alos it's attracting price.
But we also encounter a very serious problem, TC is the slowest tool when we replay our script comparing to QTP and RFT,etc. We here havo no one master TC, only master QTP. And you can tell me how to optimize it and give me some tips on performance tuning, we can't stand it's speed. Take example, if we want to test our html pag with javascript, we need to load which add-ons. I found the default configuration include most of "install extensition". We want to build our automation test framwork, so we don't plan to record script, and all objects will adopt description programming, and we use 'find', 'findChild', and 'findAll' to help us locate unqiue object in system, but it very very slow, and the object spy tool also exist servious performance problem. To our doubt, could you give me some tips?
Also, give your some suggestions, QTP and RFT can use regular expression and Xpath, it can give automation tester much convenience, and the latest TC don't support these founction now, we expect TC have these features in next version.
