Check your project's CLR Bridge settings. I added Vestris.VMWareLib.dll from the archive downloaded from here to CLR Bridge, and I see the appropriate namespace and its contents in code completion.
Regsvr32 has nothing to do with .NET assemblies. It is needed to register COM objects.

Does the dll need to be registered first using REGSVR32?
