Using P4SCC makes editing scripts too slow to be usable



Perforce version: 2007.2.122958





When binding a TestComplete project to source control using P4SCC plugin for Perforce it’s impossible to edit script files because it is too slow. Although typing at normal speed, the characters appear on screen at less than 1 character per second.

 

See attached log to see that merely adding a 12-character string to the file implies making requests to the server for each and every file in the project

    Are you using TestComplete 9.20? We are familiar with a similar issue in this product version. Please contact our Support team to get the patch that can help resolve the problem.
