Using hidden properties of vb6 and .net native objects

First post here in the forum, 



For the hidden properties of Ultragrid and SSDB grid (native vb6 controls), how to access it's child objects? 



As per dev team the properties are hidden and a wrapper control is used around it, hence the properties are not visible to the automation tool. In such situation is there a work around with test complete? 



I do have access to source code for the application, does it offer any advantage at all?



Looking forward for suggestions/ideas.

    Yeah did that now, I don't see any changes in the properties listed. 



    BUt the childcount is displayed as zero. I'm sure there must be a different object or child object being used to display the elements within the ultragrid.
