  • Hi Alex

Thank you for the information could you please tell me how to perform this step

Important: If you installed TestComplete on a virtual machine, open the dialog for modifying TestComplete shortcut’s properties and add the --disable-vm-check argument to TestComplete’s command line. Then launch the product.

how should i perform the above action especially the action " open the dialog for modifying TestComplete shortcut’s properties " when test complete is installed but not activated yet on virtual PC

  • Hi Anand,

    Here are the detailed steps:

    1. Install TestComplete.

    2. In Windows' Start | All Program menu, find the TestComplete's shortcut (AutomatedQA | TestComplete 8 | TestComplete 8).

    3. Right-click the shortcut and choose Properties from the context menu.

    4. In the opened dialog, add the --disable-vm-check string to the Target text box.

    5. Click OK to save changes.

    6. Run the tool using the modified shortcut.

    7. Follow all steps of the activation wizard to activate your TestComplete license.
