Actually I would like to monitor logs of the application under test (not the TestComplete ones) and trigger some TestComplete functions when specific errors occur.
Can you tell us a format of the test logs generated by your application?

Yes, this could be a solution! The only disadvantage, if I understood correctly, is that I need TestComplete stops to wait for file creation.
Anyway it's a valid option!
