TestComplete takes a lot of time to show Intellisense

While typing a dot next to a test object, TC 9.30 is taking lot of time to display intellisense.

During this time, TC is completely unaccessible. If we are typing some text after typing dot, those text also reflecting after intellisense is visible. If we are toggling to some other application during this, we are not gett ing the typed text also.



Any one if having any solution for this, kindly share.

    This issue persistes in 9.3 also. Some time it makes TC unstable for a log time. It is not the issue only at start-up but any time you put a dot.

    Hi Deepak,



    With 9.2 this happens a few times after starting TC. After that there is no problem at all. There might be some kind of late cache loading involved.



    Does your issue persist with 9.3 ?

    This has always been a problem for me. I just turn it off. Tools > Options > Panels > Code Editor > Editing > Uncheck Auto Pop-Up. You can still invoke it on demand with Ctrl-Space.



    It's pretty ironic how all these resource hungry "features" (auto-complete, syntax checker, etc...) meant to streamline the development process actually makes everything so slow and tedious in TestComplete...

    Like I said, just disable it and invoke it when you need it (which is almost never...).
