I am preparing edge environment for TestComplete Tests.
I am going through the documentation
I am stucked with the first step - SmartBear Test Extension, I am not able to find this extension in edge browser.
I am using edge version - 104
Open MS Edge and go to URL https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/addons/detail/smartbear-test-extension/dnboadgmjeggdengfhphcmlclboenlco as indicated by Marsha_R reply.
You'll then have the options to install the add-on
If you open the URL via Chrome,
And if you still can't install the add-on, then may be you don't have appropriate permissions.
The Key Edge appears in i.e. Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge
On that documentation page that you referenced, there's a link to install the extension manually.
I do not have the the key
Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge
in the registry editor.
where should I create this key - in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software or in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software ?
Launch edge browser using TestComplete script. but we are getting the message "Edge is working in the background and cannot be closed"
How can we fix this ?
I am looking at the background apps but I do not see the Edge.

Applications are always changing, so the help documents may be slightly out of date.
I found the settings above and turn off but still getting the same warning message
You might have to kill the process from Task Manager. Next time you close MS Edge, hopefully the process won't appear in Task Manager as you have turned it off.
In TestCompete you can Close Web Browsers
