Our team tested the new tc version 15.82.62.7 and we also have the same problem.
It seems that testcomplete starts to many chrome host processes.
I created a new ticket to raise to hopefully raise the priority.
Sad to say as Edge and Chrome keep adding more process to bloat themselves even more, TestComplete/TestExecute struggles with more and more issues. I have asked REPEATEDLY that TC/TE stay up to date with Chrome/Edge at least with their major versions that warrant a new web driver as well so the TC headless browser mode works, kinda.
The answer that SmartBear does NOT work with the latest Chrome which is a developer task to TURN OFF AUTO-UPDATES as it is, is crazy and makes testing tools VERY HARD to keep up to date - which as a Developer/TEST Engineer I understand.
Individual web users in general have auto-update on by default and to do worry about updates to Chrome or other browsers.
I also told them to keep with updated Edge browser as in my organization we cannot even turn off automatic updates due to security policies.
I have similar issues...but I can plod through the process AI thinks I need to do to disable the auto-updates. Sometimes it 'works' a month or so, sometimes I have to try again because it does not work at all. I am looking for a testing tool that can at least use the latest Chrome/Edge browser.
