TestComplete reports 'Object RowCount not found' error

Hi,

We are using TestComplete to automate a web application.

In one of our script we are fetching the ‘RowCount’ of a table object which is been used to achieve the testing of Pagination functionality. There was no issue when we executed this script on machine1. But on the machine2 we found that TestComplete reports the error ‘Object RowCount not found’.

The configuration information on both the machines is as below.

Machine 1:

TestComplete Version : 7.20

Internet browser Version: 7.0.5730.13

My OS version: Windows XP Professional

Version 5.1 (Build 2600: Service Pack 3)

Machine 2:

TestComplete Version : 7.50

Internet browser Version: 7.0.5730.13

My OS version: Windows XP Professional

Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_grd.090206-1234 : Service Pack 3)

Is this issue is because of change in the TestComplete version? Or any other settings need to be done so that the TestComplete will find the RowCount of the table. ?

-Thanks,

Sowmya BS

  • Hi,

Yes, the image was from the machine where everything works correctly.

Please find the attached images from the machine where the few "Extended" properties are not available for the same object.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

The object in the images you've posted belongs to the DOM branch of the Hybrid model, or the DOM model is active in your project. You need to either enable the Tree model or make sure that you obtain the object from the Tree branch of the Hybrid model (for example, by searching for this object starting from the nearest known Tree-model parent).

  • Thanks for the given solution. We found out that there was a difference in the settings of webtesting properties in both the machines.

    Thanks :)
