TestComplete PDF comparison "PDFBox vs File checkpoint"

Hello,   I am learning how to compare pdf documents with baseline data in TestComplete. I have a basic question. How does the File checkpoint works compared to using PDFBox? File checkpoint is quit...

Quickest way to find out is to try it yourself  :)

I just tried it :) With the File checkpoint, it seems to be working incorrectly. The actual pdf was different than the baseline pdf, but the checkpoint still passed. In TestComplete, when I go to Files > my file to view the baseline pdf, it shows "garbage data" in my pdf i.e. random numbers, special characters, letters etc. Seems like it is not reading the pdf correctly. I guess, I just have to try with PDFBox now.
