Testcomplete launches some application by default

When Testcomplete is running in my system. after some time, calculator, setting and other few application are opened. This is happening only if the testcomplete is running.   I am using Windows 10 ...

    Disable superfetch?

    Doesn't that also disable quick search on start menu AND decrease overall performance of your system?

      Ryan_Moran, it appears to be Superfetch that launches these apps (in the suspended mode) in the first place. So disabling Superfetch is one of the workarounds.

       

      Not sure about the start menu.

        Not exactly. These apps are pre-cached in memory by the Superfetch service to increase performance.

        It may or may not be that Test Complete "refreshing" processes stored in cached memory causes these apps to wake from their dormant state. I would still recommend updating Windows 10 if not already done. As you can see from my previous post this is an issue for Windows 10 users who do not have Test Complete installed.
