Testcomplete and SSO

Hi,

Which host properties does NetworkSuite.Host.Verify look for ?

When I enable SSO (Single Sign On) on the product I am testing, host.verify fails with following error

=======

Verification Failed.

Either user name, password or domain name specified in the host properties is incorrect. To solve the problem, Please correct property values in the Hosts editor.

=========

Verification succeds when I disable SSO.

Did anyone face such problem before ? Any help about this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Shubhangi

  • Hi,

    What do you mean by Single Sign On? Could you describe how you implement this?

    The problem can occur if user names and passwords specified in SSO differ from user names and passwords specified in the Hosts editor.

    The problem may not relate to TestComplete. To check whether the problem occurs outside TestComplete, try to log on to the slave computer via the Remote Desktop using the user name and password that you specify in the Hosts editor (SSO must be enabled).

  • Hi Margaret,

    Single Sign On enables you to synchronise product's
    username/password with window's username/password.

    Exmaple Product credentials - > Admin/passowrd

    windows user credentials => Win_user/password123

    When a computer starts with the product installed-

    1. It asks for the products username and password. (Admin/passowrd)

    2. It boots the computer if login is successful.

    3. Windows boots up and ask to enter username and password (Win_user/password123)

     If SSO is enabled for the product, User Admin (product) is
    synchronised with Win_user (windows).

    Step 3 is bypassed and Admin would automatically login Win_user.

    I hope this explains SSO.

    I tried connecting to host using RDP. It was successful with both
    SSO enabled and disabled.

  • Hi,

    Try specifying the user names and passwords used by SSO in the host properties.

    If the problem still occurs, check whether the verification passes when the Automatic logon option is disabled for the host.
