Test Complete 8 and Debug Agent

Hi,



I have desktop application developed in:


  • Code Gear Delphi 2007

  • Developer Express components


My enviroment for tests:


  • VMWare virtual machine with Windows 7

  • Test Complete 8.70.727.7

  • Debug Agent

  • TDS files for all DevExpress libraries (generated by StripTDS for test Complete 8)


And I have a lot of problems, too. :( First of all, Test Complete 8 does not see some properties for DevExpress Components. When I have used Test Complete 7 with Windows XP or Vista everything works correctly.


For example. I have TcxPageControl component. There is Pages property. Test Complete 8 does not see Pages[0].Caption property. :( Why? Object Spy does not show this property in advanced view, neither. :( There is a lot of properties in Debug Agent section, but there is not Caption property. Do you have any idea what is the problem? Do you have any solution?

    In our test lab, we have checked whether the Pages.Caption property is available in the Object Browser panel by using a sample application. TestComplete 8.70 displayed this property. Please pay attention to the fact that this property is hidden. So, make sure that the Tools | Options | Engines | General | Show hidden members option is enabled.
