As far as I understand, you want to disable using the Browser method in TestComplete, right? For this, enable the Use legacy web testing features option. Go through the "Project Properties - Web Testing Options" article to learn more details.
As for the problem you faced, I suggest that you check whether they persist in TestComplete 9.10 (the latest product version), and, if they do, report them to our Support team via our Contact Support form.
