I updated it using the automatic update. I had to restart the machine during the process due to some issues, although I had encountered similar problems with previous updates as well. However, the installation was ultimately successful. I'd say there was nothing out of the ordinary.

Hi !
it's more stable than previous versions, but not 100%. At least, no more tcCrHost.exe problem. - scottroutesmartContributor
Issue 1:
I have started to see when I open select box fields in 15.83, that sometimes they seem to be closing prematurely before the option I want to select can be clicked. It is very random when this occurs. I am not sure if the click on an option is occurring a little bit off where it had before (like Alex3 mentioned), or the box is just randomly closing. I have not seen this occur in prior versions, and this is happening on many tests, so I would have noticed it before had it happened previously.
This is leading to "The object "selectbox_Options_List" does not exist." or "The tested window (or control) has been deleted." errors being logged depending on the field. When I watch tests (randomly) fail because of this, I see the select box expand, but then it closes before the desired option can be clicked.
Issue 2:
I have also noticed that the TestComplete Chrome Host (tcCrHost.exe) process has fewer issues hanging, but does on occasion still. (Have had it happen 3-4 times today already.) I start a test running, and it freezes [sometimes]. If I click stop, then it will NOT kill the hanging process, so I have to do this manually via Process Manager. In the prior version there were many instances of the tcCrHost.exe process not being killed properly, but in this case I have witnessed only 1 of this process running which needs killed off. So, it appears they got much of the prior bug fixed, but may still have some cleanup remaining.
I am on TC v. 15.83.1.7 x64 - mcpmOccasional Contributor
We updated to 15.83 from 15.67 (we couldn't upgrade earlier because of some issues, including the ones discussed here: https://community.smartbear.com/discussions/testcomplete-questions/logging-issue-on-tc-15-80-python-scripts/279683).
So far, everything looks good on our side.
We're using the Desktop module with Python scripts, and we haven't noticed any problems after the upgrade.

Thanks, I also tried updating but not able to update, have you auto update it or downloaded exe then installed latest version?

You can download the latest version from https://downloads.smartbear.com/TestComplete1583SLM.exe. Run the installation from the command prompt using --clean or -clean parameter, to do a clean install of TestComplete.

We have noticed that on popups (JSP application) TC clicks slightly above elements.

I'm struggling with the upgrade from Testcomplete version 15.50.3 / 15.81 to 15.83.1.7, it looks fine until you restart it after the upgrade, it fails with aqreporter.dll Exception code: 0xe06d7363. Anyone able to provide a hint how to solve this?

Perform a clean install, and then restart your machine.

I am also facing very slow execution in Android while doing mobile testing. Can anyone try it. I had tried both in android emulator and real device.
