I would say instead of having projects with same scripts you should have a common scripts and create a function with parameter which can be used to switch between application.

 

Anyways, For your question there is one option which is,

 

Add units of Project 1 in Project 2 as a existing item. Then it will ask do you want update the latest scripts. for More info refer here
