Sharing project items

Does sharing user forms amongst projects work? I have a base project which has some user forms. I then add the existing user forms to a different project and suite. It seems that I have to reassociate the user forms for the event handlers.



But once I do that I have to then reassociate the handlers on the base project again.



Is anyone familiar with this behavior or is there a workaround? I did not see anything in the documentation related to sharing user forms so I assumed it was doable.
