Hello kirk_bottomley,
First of all, make sure TestComplete is properly configured to record the "Expected Screenshot".
Go to Tools » Current Project Settings, from there go to "Visualizer". On the section "Collect Test Visualizer data during recording", selecte ONE of the options (Capture images only, Capture images and test object info).
Once you've done that, TC will start to record the "Expected Screenshot" when you record your tests. :)

I've always had my projects (and the default project settings) set to capture images and test object info.
The odd thing is, I was trying to show my boss the reason for posting this. I pulled up a log, went to an entry that Has Picture, and there were the expected and actual images side by side. But then I went back later, and couldn't get the expected image again. Today, it's only showing the actual image and no expected images either. So... I'm more confused than ever now.
Is there a way to force Show Expected Image if one exists?

I have a similar issue where all of the sudden I've lost my 'EXPECTED IMAGE' in a project that has always used the Capture images option. The test only shows 'ACTUAL IMAGE' when I replay. I have Version 12.30.1651.7. Is there some way to retrieve the original 'EXPECTED IMAGE' pictures?
