Hi Hugo,
One of the main features of TestComplete is that it executes GUI tests. These tests simulate user actions, and it's impossible to use the computer for your own needs and execute TestComplete tests at a time. I suggest that you refer to this page to learn the possible ways to run tests.

Adding to the above mentioned pointers, I have tried the .Keys operation and it is wroking fine. But, I need to know that, whether there are any methods available to do the same, as I feel the Keys Method, is a workaround for some areas, which is quite difficult to automate
