    I found a much better solution. Instead of using the Aliases name mapping you can delete that and use the Sys.Process name mapping and that way you can edit the object name mapping with a wild card.

    You can do that in the Alias name mapping, too... no need to delete the NameMapping object. NameMapping is the primary and recommended method of object identification in TestComplete... what you suggest will work, but there's no need for deleting the Alias.
