Hi Ram,
> Firefox compatibility issue with the older selenium web driver version .
Not sure I got the problem...
Indeed, past October or November Firefox stopped including Selenium driver into Firefox and separate standalone driver (provided less functionality compared to the old driver, as of two-three month ago state) is now required.
TestComplete itself does not provide any special support for Selenium. It can just launch Selenium tests and include their results in the common test log. TC 12.2 (the current version as of moment of writing) supports Firefox 45-50 (http://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/web/general/supported-browsers-and-technologies.html), though this does not necessarily mean that older versions of Firefox are not supported at all.
So:
-- I still do not see a reason not to try the latest version of TC;
-- TC 11 is an outdated version already and you should talk to your Sales representative if you really need this version.
Hello Smart Bear Team ,
Currently in my project , we have completed some of our legacy cases using Firefox Ver . 44 which requires the support of selenium web driver ver 2.53.5 . So the remote machine which supports both must have Firefox Ver 44 or else the selenium webdriver will not support the Firefox (other version) and all the legacy cases will fail.
Now we need to complete some more cases using smart bear tool , in such a way it should support Firefox Ver 44 , for which I think either TestComplete ver. 11.31 or TestComplete ver. 11.20 would support and that is the reason I was looking for the older version . otherwise it will affect all the completed legacy test cases which is already running fine .
Thanks and regards
