Object spy takes much time to highlight object

Application- Java, Flex and Flash Player 10.x

Test Complete Version- 8.7

Methods Used to access Flex- Flash Injector



Issue-

Whenever I try to do the namemapping using object spy it takes too much time to highlight  the object. It halts for sometime in between.

Objects like buttons, text box is done easily, but when tried with Grid it takes much time.



For using Flash Injector I approached following method. I am using the http url to access my application.



1- Installed flash debug player 11.1.102.63

2- Configured the mm.cfg file with below texts

PreloadSwf=C:\Program Files\Automated QA\TestComplete 8\Open Apps\Flex\FlashInjector.swf

AS3Trace=1

ErrorReportingEnable=1

TraceOutputFileEnable=1

TraceOutputBuffered=1

3- In the following URL added the Trust loacation as

C:\Program Files\Automated QA\TestComplete 8\Open Apps\Flex

    The two links are not useful for this issue.



    1- First url is for run time performance, but my issue is when I use Object spy, it is normal for objects like text box, buttons etc. But when object spy is used on Grid, it gets halted for some time like 4-5 minutes, then it could highlight the grid.

    2- Second url is for IE 8 and 9,  but I am using IE7

    Thank you for this information. We'll need to check whether the problem can be reproduced in our lab. Is the page containing the problematic grid publicly available on the Internet? Or, can you give us HTTP access to the page? One more option is to send us your application or a sample application, so we could deploy it and try to reproduce the slowness.
