Name Mapping changes in order to support multi browsing in TC9

Question

Hello,We have been upgraded from TC8 to TC9.We would like to use our old name mapping from TC8 on different browsers on TC9.The problem is that the main node in the name mapping tree named "iexplore".isn't it shoud be chaged to generic name like "browser" ?We cannot idetify the application's objects when we are using FireFox browser.Please advise,Eran Maoz

The name of the mapped object does not affect your test. You should modify the set of properties or their values that are used to identify the mapped object. For TC 8 there is an article: http://support.smartbear.com/articles/testcomplete/cross-browser-testing/. But in TC 9 there were some improvements: in keyword tests there are new operations, and there is the similar Browsers object in script. I recommend you to modify your tests to use the new features.
