missing CAB file during installation of TE 10.40.2015

TC10.40.2015  installation was fine, but TE can  not complete due to missing CAB file + several other errors (OS WIN7/x32)



Looks like some new files have been forgotton to be included in the installation package.





"Error 1304:  Error writing to file.

Microsoft.Teamfoundation.WorkitemTracking.Client.Cache.dll verify that you have acces to that directory."



AND Retry giver this error:  "Error 2359.FDI server eror"



and trying retry againn:   "Error 1334 file _BEDCF57F03948724ABFA68485C523111 can not be installed - cana not be found in cabinet Data1.cab .......





Ok, incorrect forum, I'll contact customer suport...

    As far as I can see, you've contacted the Support team, and the issue is resolved now.


     


    I'll post the answer from our team so that everybody who faces this issue could resolve it:




    Our R&D team has just recently found out that this TestComplete v10.40 installation error appears because of corrupted TFS installation on the machine. 


     


    The solution is to: 


     


    1. Install Team Foundation Server 2013 Express: 


     



     


    Then: 


    2. Install TestComplete v10.40 


     


    OR 


     


    Try re-installing TestComplete v10.40 *without* the Visual Studio Integration features selected.
