Hello George,
I had a similar problem with her. See if has no other processes running in the background that may be hindering the capture of TestComplete. Also try to perform the tests in another browser or on another website.
sometimes the TestComplete says it is no longer responding, but if you open your task manager, will realize being activities performed. In this case, wait a while.
