Looking for tutorial for testing on AJAX website

The video "Lesson 1A: Creating Your First Test with TestComplete 9 - Web Apps" covers basic HTML websites but doesn't seem to apply to sites which make heavy use of JavaScript. I tried it with google and with wikipedia and the red box simply covered the whole page.



Are there any tutorials - preferably video - for novices for this stuff?
