Hi Tom,
You can set the background color using the fourth parameter of the Log.Message method:
Set Attributes = Log.CreateNewAttributes
Attributes.BackColor = clYellow
Call Log.Message("Now testing 'Testitem B'", "", pmNormal, Attributes)
