Limited information available in object browser

I have written quite a few tests now and was in the process of writing more when I noticed I could no longer get any objects in the tested application.

All of the paths to objects in the tested app changed.

Previously I could use the object browser and go quite deep into the tree now I can only see the top level.  I tried using object spy to see if I could see anything different.  I was only able to see the top level of the app and the name of object was quite different.

The machine I use to run all these tests on still works just fine all the paths are what I mapped them too and all the tests run as expected.

I looked through the settings to see if there were any settings through options that may have affected this and was unable to find anything that helped.

I install a previous version of my application to see if something changed that may have broken anything and I have the same results that I am not able to get any objects past the top level.

TestComplete is running as an administrator.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling TestComplete in the off chance that it would fix something.

I tried running TestComplete as a different user on my machine to see if it was some user setting I had accidently changed.  That did not help either.

I am at a loss of what may have caused this any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

  • I was on version 9.30 so I downloaded the newest version 9.31 closed all programs then installed 9.31.

    Now everything is working again.

No more posts in the event log and I can now go down the tree like I used to.

    Problem Solved.
  • This may possibly be because I installed visual studio 2013 recently.

Test complete is spaming the event log. Below is the event log information:
