Jenkins + TestComplete Plugin resize

Hello,

We are using Test Complete with Jenkins, Jenkins mainly so that we can schedule and share results. The problem we are having is the size of the Picture preview.

Is there a way to resize the horizontal and vertical space a preview can take up. We all have big screens and its not ideal being so small.

A part from shrinking the test log area we can not use any more space. I know we can double click the image and pop it out but this is not ideal.

Anyone know if I have missed a setting to make better use of the screen area?

Thanks Lowres

So the easy solution for us is to enable the "Generate MHT log file" in the TestComplete Build Steps under advanced. This then adds a download button to the TestComplete Test Results.

The .mht file can be opened in Edge (Internet Explorer mode), this will open up in the full browser window, perfect making it much quicker to verify the gazillion screenshots.

Restart the browser and then double click the downloaded .mht file. Sometimes it will open blank and I need to unblock the file.

    Happy days :)

Im not sure it is a limitation in Jenkins, Robot Framework test results use more space and also open to use the full browser window.

Unfortunately, there is no built‑in Jenkins or TestComplete plugin setting that allows you to resize the embedded picture preview area in the Jenkins TestComplete results view. The preview pane is fixed in size, and the only supported way to see larger screenshots is to double‑click them to open in a separate window.

A quick Google of "Jenkins Test Results" shows similar results

  • Even beter I got the Jenkins "Publish HTML reports" plugin working which is exactly what we needed.
