Issuing system-wide shortcuts, how to do it?

When using Expression Encoder Screen Capture to capture the screen contents of both monitor, there is not enough space to display the recording toolbar anymore. Thus it must be stopped using the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+F12. If I take the Alias of the window and work with the Keys method I could not get it to run.



How can I issue a system-wide shortcut?
