Is Anytone using TC 9 with VB 6?

I have been working with tech support for literally months to get TC 9 to work. Has anyone successfully used TC 9 to test VB 6 apps?

    There's no feedback from other TestComplete users. It looks like this kind of app is not very popular :(


     


    Visual Basic v.6 was released in 1998. I think many people can agree with me that VB 6 apps are obsolete at the moment.


    As far as I know, Microsoft stopped supporting this IDE many years ago while our company worries about our customers who are still using this kind of app.


    We still support (and will continue supporting) VB 6 apps testing!


     


    It's true that VB 6 testers may face some issues, but I believe all of them can be resolved by the collaboration with our Support Team.


    I'm sure that the TestComplete Team always do the best from their side to assist you!

    Hi Stephanie



    One of our team is using TC 9.2 to test VB 6 application but they are facing issues in recognizing objects in object browser. Sometimes object recognized as VB6Object or something some other name. I guess they have contacted support team.



    I fixed some of their issue by using OR clause in namemapping to recognize objects with different names.

    Thnak you for taking the time to reply. I am dealing with the same problem as well as TC (post 8.2) causing my application to crash. If you are willing to post here if you get any resolution? I will do the same. Thanks
