How to import from excel file to *.tctbl file?

Is there any way to import data from excel file to *.tctbl file?. I'm asking because reading from excel file is too slow.

There is no built-in functionality for this conversion. You will need to create a script that will do it.
BTW, how exactly do you read from an Excel file? Perhaps, you can use another way for this that speed up this process.
