Hi Kartheek,
Could you please describe the problem you face in detail?- kartheekNew ContributorHi Allen
Problem is I am unable to capture the .net object using "Object finder " tool . Because of that I couldn't perform actions like Click, Click item etc. on the object. However, in Internet Explorer I can capture each and every button, textbox, editbox, lookup search control etc.
I hope the problem is clear now...
Awaiting reply.
Thank you
Kartheek
Hi Kartheek,
Thanks for the details. The behavior is caused by the fact that TestComplete 7 does not support functional testing of web pages opened in Mozilla Firefox 3.6. The newest supported version is 3.5. If you want to work with Firefox 3.6, you need to use TestComplete 8.- kartheekNew ContributorHi Allen
Thank you for the help. Ok then, I will try with mozilla 3.5 and get back to you.
As I couldnt find any information regarding Testcomplete7 on the automatedqa site, can I know other browsers along with versions which are supported by TC7 ??
Regards
Kartheek
Hi Kartheek,
The web site contains information on the latest version of TestComplete (v. 8.20). Information on TestComplete 7 can be found in the tool's help system ("Help | Contents"). Here is a quote from the "Web Testing" help topic of TestComplete 7:
The plug-ins support the following browsers:
Microsoft Internet Explorer ver. 5 - 8.
Mozilla Firefox ver. 1.5.0.1 - 3.5.
Any web browser based on the Microsoft WebBrowser control.
Also, limited support is provided for Netscape Navigator ver. 8.1.2 (access to web page elements is available only if Navigator uses the Internet Explorer rendering engine. See Testing Web Pages Shown in Netscape Navigator). Currently, Netscape Navigator 9 is not officially supported.
