Wow, no. It is not our job to define the roadmap for TC, nor to tell SmartBear how to manage it. However, if some company did work that way, it still wouldn't guarantee you that you would get exactly the features you want.
I am not saying it's our job to define roadmap. It should be SmartBears management who defines the roadmap. However, I think feedback from the users (functional test engineers, technical test engineers, validation engineers, etc, etc.) is/should be a very important input variable, in defining the roadmap. Don't you think Marsha_R ?

I've seen you post in the Feature Requests forum, but maybe you aren't clear about how that works. Here's an example from one of your posts. You entered it on the forum, it got enough kudos to get some attention, and it was selected for development. We already have input.

Marsha_R Yes I have posted multiple Feature Requests on the forum, and 1 of them is selected for development. Others are in the list of "new ideas", and can be voted for by others. Good system in theory, although I have questions on the amount of ideas which have assigned a status. There are about 200 ideas in total and only small percentage have a status other than New idea.... Some ideas are over 1.5 years old and still have status "New Idea"!? How much time does it take for a new idea to get defined a status (Selected for Development, Selected for discussion)?

Seems like the function SetFeatureNewStatus() takes two arguments - time and kudos :)

Maybe time spent analyzing SmartBear's internal processes would be better spent learning more features of TestComplete.

Marsha_R I am interested in getting to know existing features as well as voting for new features and curious about when selected features will be expected to be implemented. For your information: I am building a test automation framework and the framework needs to work with features TC provides. So following how Smartbear implements new features is just as important as exploring existing features. Maybe you feel more comfortable staying in your own comfort zone, but for me it is important to look into the future development of testautomation in general, ans TestComplete/Smartbear as well.
