Hi Heather,
Could you please follow the steps below to help our R&D team fix the issue?
1. First of all, to avoid the situation when other applications running in your system affect TestComplete's functioning, let us configure the "Tools | Current Project Properties | Open Applications | Process Filter" feature to disable the Open Applications functionality for all applications except for Firefox. To do this:
- click the "Add Process..." button on that settings page, select your tested application's process (the app must be running), click OK;
- then, change the "Process filter mode" setting on that page to "Use only selected processes";
- after that, close TestComplete and reboot the computer.
2. Run TestComplete.
3. Use the following steps to generate memory dumps for both TestComplete and the tested application (added to the list of Open processes in your project settings at step 1):
1. Run the Report Generator tool located in <TestComplete>\Bin\ReportGenerator.exe.
2. Select the "Launch/attach to TestComplete" option.
3. Run another instance of the Report Generator tool.
4. Select the "Track application launch" option, specify Firefox's executable name, check the "Track multiple launches of the application" box, click Next and run the browser. The Report Generator tool will track all events in it.
5. Reproduce the problem.
6. Click the "Generate memory dump" button in each of the Report Generator instances three times with a 5-second delay between the clicks.
7. Click the "Generate..." button in all instances of the Report Generator tool and save reports to a local folder.
8. Send the reports to our Support team.
Thanks in advance.
