I had deleted the Map and tried it again. Every time i map the Obejct for TDBGrid, it gives error for wColumnCount property. I had complied it with debug mode.. It is related to using trail version. I doubt that but is it a possibility??

Have you been through these setup instructions?
I have a Delphi application I'm testing at the moment.
It has TwwDBGrid objects all over the place. They all return an error for the wColumnCount property (maybe due to being data driven? It may work with standard tables?). I'm using "ColCount" instead. Seems to work OK for me. I assume the wColumnCount property is either not valid for this Grid type, or is simply not a property that TestComplete can interpret.
You may also find extracting/finding/matching the column names can be a bit odd. In many cases, the column header will be contained in the "DisplayLabel" property of the column. But not always. Depends on how the developers built it. It can be left blank. In which case you have to search through the underlying DataSet object as the Grid will inherit and display the name from this.
Data driven grids are all sorts of fun. You can also have hidden rows and columns, indicator rows, embedded dropdowns (also data driven) and all manner of fun things (such as cells not having a "click" method available on them). And there are different types of different data driven Delphi grids, which all behave slightly differently, just to top it off.
