LoadComplete does not use any scripting and the integration mentioned by Marsha actually works vise-versa: LoadComplete records traffic that is generated by the tested application driven by TestComplete. The recorded traffic can be parameterized than in LoadComplete and used for the load test from within LoadComplete without any need for TestComplete.
So, what LoadComplete actually does, is that it records the traffic from your tested application and replays (parameterized) recorded traffic to load tested web server.
LoadComplete supports certificate authentication (https://support.smartbear.com/loadcomplete/docs/general-info/supported/authentication.html) but I did not work with it and Not sure if it is possible to have more than one certificate on the same test box and specify which one should be used during the test for this or that virtual user.

On your recommendation, I submitted a Support Request to find out "...if it is possible to have more than one (soft) certificate on the same test box and specify which one should be used during the test for this or that virtual user". I'll update LoadComplete's community forum once I receive a satisfactory response.
