Does higher resolution affect a test developed in lower resolution ?

My Test development machine is of the resolution 1280X1024 and the resolution at my clients place is 1680*1050 .. i am not using cordinates at all and i have written test scripts independent of the cordinates. all my scripts refer to the objects by thier name only. is this going to be a problem in any case ? i tried running the test at 1600 x 900 resolution and my scripts are failing to recocgnise objects .. ANY SOLUTIONS ? / Suggestions ?

  • Hi Saurabh,

Screen resolutions shouldn't affect the test execution in your case. Can you post here the full text of the error messages you get? You can find it in the Additional Information tab after selecting the error in Test Log. Also, you can find there some troubleshooting steps that you can give a try.
