Did you also try adding the application to TestComplete to run part of the project as described in https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/web/messages/chromium-content-detected.html

I agree with Hassan_Ballan - if a TestComplete error message gives you a solution, then that's the first thing you should try. Run the application you are testing from Tested Apps and let us know how that works for you.
