Comparison of PDF files

Hi,



I tried different ways of comparing PDF files but nothing works :

a) with script to compare files with variable parts .

b) Files.Compare with hash value included but the hash value changes everytime the file is created and the comparison fails.

c) Tried Stores|Files collection to compare the already added files with newly created file.



Can we export all the PDF to some other text editor and then compare the text. Also the PDFs have hyperlinks and highlighted text . What is the way to do this ?



So is there a way to compare PDF files successfully .Please HELP !!

    Hi Sumedha,





    The files you've sent us are different. The difference is in the bar code that is present in the Bur2125.PDF file, but not in the Bur2125-Test.PDF file.





    If you need assistance in excluding the bar code from the comparison criteria, please let us know. We'll try to create a sample script for you. Note that this can take time.

    I did not understand where the comparison failed.Is the data different.What is the meaning of the "difference in Barcode" ?

    The bar code Alex mentioned is located on every page of the Bur2125.PDF file in the lower left corner. It is linked to "http://vmsa:8080/r2w".

    David has replied to you via e-mail and sent you some pictures demonstrating the difference. Continue investigations with him.
