'CLR Bridge' option not present in Project Properties

Hi all,

I initially installed TextComplete 8.5. Later I installed .Net framework. I am unable to find the option 'CLR Bridge' in the Project Properties.  My colleagues who have installed .Net framework and then TestComplete gets the CLR Bridge option by default.

I tried modifying the TestComplete installation (from Control Panel) and installed the 'MS Build Integration' component. Still the CLR option is not listed in the project properties.

Please help to resolve the issue.

Thanks in advance,

Visalakshi

    Hi Visalakshi,

The fact is that the TestComplete installation checks whether .NET is installed on your machine, and on the basis of this, the installation copies (or not) the modules for the .NET support on the machine. In your case, the check indicated that there was no .NET installed, that's why, the appropriate modules were not copied and the project properties didn't include the CLR Bridge category.

So, the workaround is to uninstall TestComplete and then install it again.

    Does this help?

  • Hi Augustine,

    Please answer the following questions:

    1. What TestComplete version are you using (Help | About)?

    2. What TestComplete module did you install and activate (Desktop, Web or Mobile)?

  • I am using Test Complete 10 and i am not able to see the CLR bridge option in the Project Properties .

Please let me know if any seetings needs to be done to make it available

  • Hi Bharat,

What TestComplete modules are installed on the computer? You can check this in the TestComplete main menu - select File | Install Extensions.
