Can we activate TestComplete 9 by using existing TestComplete 8 license

Hi All,

 I am not able to add name mapping file created in  TestComplete 9 to a project  TestComplete 8.I would like to know if backward compatiblity is available between TestComplete 8 and TestComplete 9 .If not i want to activate TestComplete 9 by using existing TestComplete 8 license.Please let me know if it is possible.

    Hi Afroz,


     


    We have implemented significant changes in TestComplete 9's Name Mapping feature. That's why, opening the dTestComplete 9 Name Mapping node is impossible in TestComplete 8. We always warn our users about the backup of old projects before migrating to the latest prouct version.


    As for the license, TestComplete 8 and TestComplete 9 are different products. So, to use TestComplete 9, the license for this product must be activated.
