Can a TestComplete script check whether the Stores option to Update Table Elements is selected?

Ideally I would like the script to detect whether the TestComplete option under Tools/Engine/Stores/Update Table Elements is selected and run the appropriate subscript. I would also like to be able ...

The stores option you're looking for is not available in the "Options" object Marsha_R posted.  So, I don't think that it's possible to programmatically change that option
