brain cramp web testing

Hiya. I am running TC 8.2. I am looking at this topic

And do not see the second page of the wizard when I create a new project. I am 90% that this is not new to TC 9. My brain is stuck on how to tell the project or test item or whatever that the test if for a web app so TC can see the objects within the page. Can someone give the old brain a nudge?

    I guess after create a Project Suite you have selected Add Child Item rather selecting the New Project.



    It's better to use Ctrl+Shift+N to create new project and press Next button carefully, sometime user selects Finish button at first step.

    Yup. But I never get the second window of the wizard that asks the project type.

    I think that type of project means nothing for web testing. TC always have to see page objects. What browser do you use? Maybe TC 8.2 doesn't support this one?

    You are right. It looks like screenshots from the page are obsolete. Actually, the Functional testing of web pages type only added the Web TestedApp object. What you can do now is to add a new tested app object and choose its type as Web.
